It’s been a busy summer for Hollywood, and of course the news that Kim Kardashian is going to be married is on everyone’s lips. Last Thursday, Kim was seen doing some last minute arrangements in NYC. Kim and beau, NBA star Kris Humphries are to be wed on August 20th. Just two more days to get all of those errands done, Kim! The couple will be joined in a ceremony in Montecito, California, this Saturday in what promises to be an extravagant, expensive wedding.

Halle Barry is celebrating her 45th birthday this week. The A-lister had a small get-together with close friends and family on August 14th. Halle was looking as hot as ever for her celebration, spending it at the beach in a two piece bikini that proves she’s still got it. It attendance was boyfriend, Olivier Martinez, and young daughter Nahla.

In Reality TV news, Ambercrombie and Fitch are still proposing a deal to get Jersey Shore cast member, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino to stop wearing their clothing products on set. An official statement by A&F read,
“We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image,” and left little doubt as to their stance on having the Jersey Shore star flaunting the brand name in front of cameras.

The buzz on the music scene this week is Katy Perry, who managed quite a feat when her fifth single from her album Teenage Dream tied the King of Pop’s record for having five #1 singles on an album. Michael Jackson’s 1987 album Bad was the only other in music history to top the charts five times for singles. Teenage Dream has sold only 1,700,000 copies, reflecting a market trend to online, streaming music rather than CD or MP3 purchases.
